SkipFest @ PAWRS
SkipFest, the national skip hire industry exhibition and event sponsored by The Skip Magazine, has joined forces with the Plant and Waste Recycling Show (PAWRs) in an unprecedented move of unity to counter the forces of the economic downturn.
SkipFest organizer Anthony Eyre said “The idea of a national exhibition and show for the skip hire industry is a good one and it was becoming clear that Haydock Park was not going to be the ideal venue to launch this event.
“Richard Hunt, the entrepreneur behind PAWRs, suggested to us that we bring SkipFest to his show in Paignton, Torbay in June and present a united front to the waste industry.
PAWRs ‘09 picks up on the 23 year history of there being a waste management show in Torbay – a lot of people were very upset that the old show had been neglected over the past few years and was upping sticks to London.”
Richard Hunt said “We’ve been building on the history of exhibiting in Torbay and creating a family feel for our PAWRs event. “The Skip Mag” and SkipFest are now part of our family; I feel confident that SkipFest will thrive at the show and the partnership will be mutually beneficial for all involved, especially the exhibitors and visitors.”
“This new show will bring out the best opportunities to do business and networking in the most congenial of surroundings.”
SkipFest will be an integral part of PAWRs on June 15th, 16th and 17th. If you are interested in exhibiting or visiting, fill out our exhibitor form or visitor form to get more info or call 0844 560 7706. There will be a gala dinner on one of the evenings (send an email here to check ticket availability) and PAWRs itself will be hosting the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee on the 16th at the Palace Hotel.
